FREE: 50 SHEETS OF ORIGAMI PAPER!!!
I was just talking about trying to find some fun summer activities for lil chick and what did I find but 50 FREE SHEETS OF ORIGAMI PAPER!!!
How fun is this? I've never tried Origami but I figure on our trip to our local library we can check out a book on beginner Origami & try out our "skills" on our FREE paper!
So it's a fabulous and FREE summer activity!!!
Love it!
I am assuming this won't last long!

SCHOOL OUT & MOMS NUTS!
So with today being the official last day of school in our area I thought it would be fun to have "MaKe It MoNdAy" be for the kids. I know I spend much more time in the summer doing arts & crafts with lil chick to keep her busy and a busy kid means a happy mom! Atleast in my house anyway because then I am not hearing the dreaded "Mom I'm bored!".
Another thing we do in the summer is to keep a weekly schedule. I know I know summer should be for fun and no schedules but this is just a little one. It helps to give kids something to look forward to and they know what will happen each day.
Here's our daily schedule:

Also we do some fun crafts, spelling & math worksheets, and practice reading. I got her "summer school tote" ready last week so starting Monday we can start our little activities.
How do you help with the boredom of the summer months with the kids?
Believe me I am always looking for tips on how I can make summer fun for her and for me!

Almost all Comic Book stores will participate in this event.
You can get one of each and there is usually 10 different ones to get and a small figurine.
You don’t have to buy anything, but I always buy a few to show support to local businesses (usually you can get some for $1).
