So with today being the official last day of school in our area I thought it would be fun to have "MaKe It MoNdAy" be for the kids. I know I spend much more time in the summer doing arts & crafts with lil chick to keep her busy and a busy kid means a happy mom! Atleast in my house anyway because then I am not hearing the dreaded "Mom I'm bored!".
Another thing we do in the summer is to keep a weekly schedule. I know I know summer should be for fun and no schedules but this is just a little one. It helps to give kids something to look forward to and they know what will happen each day.

Also we do some fun crafts, spelling & math worksheets, and practice reading. I got her "summer school tote" ready last week so starting Monday we can start our little activities.
