THRIFTY COOKING THURSDAY ~ HOMEMADE POTATO SOUP!


HOMEMADE POTATO SOUP

Under $10!

INGREDIENTS
  • 10 POTATOES CUBED
  • 3 CARROTS DICED
  • 3 CELERY DICED
  • 1/4 C. ONIONS
  • 2 GARLIC CLOVES MINCED
  • 2 CANS EVAPORATED MILK
  • 1 1/2 C. SHREDDED CHEDDAR CHEESE
  • 1/2 PKG. BACON 
  • 9 CUPS WATER
  • SALT & PEPPER TO TASTE
  1. PUT 4 CUPS WATER IN A LARGE POT.
  2. ADD SALT & PEPPER.
  3. ADD CARROTS, CELERY, ONIONS & GARLIC.
  4. COOK ON MEDIUM FOR 20 MINUTES OR UNTIL TENDER.
  5. FRY BACON & CRUMBLE.
  6. ADD 5 CUPS OF WATER.
  7. ADD 2 CANS EVAPORATED MILK.
  8. ADD POTATOES AND COOK UNTIL TENDER.
  9. ADD BACON.
  10. ADD CHEESE.
  11. SERVE AND SPRINKLE A BIT OF CHEESE ON TOP.
