THE GIVING TOTE CHALLENGE!
(My giving tote so far for January.So far I have put about $0.14 into this tote and that was for the Glade, everything else was FREE with coupons!)
With all the fabulous couponing and price matching savings you are doing, it would be a great time to do some generous giving.
Get a tote, box, bag and mark it "giving". Fill it with freebies you get in the mailbox and free items you get with couponing.
Not sure where to give?
- Food Pantry
- Humane Society
- Nursing Home
- Church Organizations
- Pregnancy Assistance Centers
As couponers we can get things for free or just pennies. Remember when you see items that maybe you don't use that there is someone who can. Maybe you don't have a dog but can get dog snacks for free, you can put those in the giving tote for the humane society. You can get shaving razors for free but not the brand you like, put those in the giving tote. Etc. So many times food pantries need more that just food. Personal and hygiene items are often over looked. Nursing home residents do not always have loved ones to bring them things like hand lotion. Women who visit pregnancy assistance centers are very much in need of diapers, baby wipes, baby wash etc. Your church may know of a family in need that could really benefit from a tote of goodies.
And in the spirit of giving don't forget about about family and friends. You can make up little care packages that are much appreciated.
